"There are two things you don't buy at the market, courage and prestige".
"People no longer dream of what they desire, but of what money allows them".
From Uomini di Mare to Fabri Fibra and Lato, we are at the dawn of rap in Italy, until that moment only Neffa and Bassi Maestro were producing something. Fabrizio Tarducci from Senigallia, thanks to the money invested by Neffa, unleashes his creative genius in a groundbreaking and anything but banal CD.
The flow of songs projects us into a world we already know, in front of our eyes a series of images suggested by the old Fabri Fibra materializes, a sophisticated irony, cynical and borderline situations, a bit of machismo but also a clear denunciation of superstructures and human behaviors, the voice is not yet mature, but the lyrics are as thick as bark, requiring careful re-listening to understand every little wordplay, details that once clear in the mind remain in the vast series of ready-to-use quotes, a phenomenon of spoken language that will be surpassed only in "Turbe Giovanili", where Fabri Fibra reaches artistic maturity, a maturity that coincides with his end, because in my opinion he did not repeat himself but inexorably commercialized reaching almost exclusively a high school audience.
The old Fabri, instead, in this CD as in Turbe Giovanili, free from labels manages to grasp the true aim of rap, which is poetry, verses and music, counter-information, daily chronicle, clear, crystalline messages but also obscure and philosophical plots.
"Scratch and scratch, abstract situation, sloppy,
people high exalts four times Batman,
but where are you running, we're not in Manhattan
between here and there it's like Pandemonium with Pac-man
there's nothing on the map and those who made it
can give us an exact answer
here it's about turning your life once in that place
So I dress jacket and tie,
more polished than a pimp I avoid the black and white combo that disconnects me
cuffs and lacquer look like Frank Sinatra, more teased than a gram of cotton
I watch who moves around with the people praising me
it's fashionable to do los brotha sukalova
but it doesn't land in fact here people unglue and spend Saturday queuing" ("Gratta e Gratta")
Fabri Fibra was capable of expressing emotions even on the emotional plane, as in the track "Verso Altri Lidi", also imprinted in my musical culture are songs with intense breath,"La Mia Vita" where Fibra is introspective, damned never banal and trite; actually, I have been carrying the idea for a while that there is a thin intellectual thread throughout the album, pleasantly narrating the illusions, hopes, and situations of post-adolescence, when we clash with the real world, work, women, friends, and parties, I recommend listening to all of them, of this last track because maybe you too will find something that ties you to the little cited and known FIBRA the archaic one..
"Nights away with whom? How many things do you do following more rhythms? What wouldn't I give to have you here...
How many things do you do for hobby, what wouldn't I give to then know how, too much TV then you think about enigmas and logarithms
how not to remain so, how many things do you do in more rhythms? Nights away with whom? What wouldn't I give to have you here...
What wouldn't I give to then know how, how not to remain so...How many things do you do following more rhythms?
How many things do you do for hobby? Too much TV then you think about enigmas and logarithms, how many things do you do in more rhythms?
I dedicate time to study, study of what? To study the rhymes that you like the most
I'm with those who don't bore me, you spend time with whom? I spend time with those who accompanied me here
how many times do you meet me, but how many meetings do you have, but how are you? Where are you that we never see you?
They said it's useless now, don't pull yourself up anymore, with these rhymes it doesn't work go ahead think about it
do you realize how much you don't believe it, you act friendly but how much do you drink?
You act like the one who gets excited but then if you put a record the needle jumps,
I change change change pace already first thing in the morning, there's someone who thinks you should go to bed a bit earlier
there's someone who plays the environmentalist and then is the first to pollute, who is convinced that life after this continues
a thousand questions addressed to what enigmas, how many things do you do following more rhythms? How many things do you do for hobby?
The people you don't know you snub". ("Per Averti qui")
A CD never banal, a beautiful Artistic product, a work that somehow also requires a certain intellectual commitment, a message that has now worn out, a definitive break with the past, using more fashionable American bases and commonplace lyrics within everyone's reach, see contemporary examples, has betrayed the people who considered him a valid artist with musical principles.
For those who don't know him deeply, I recommend listening to all the old Fabri Fibra and I'm sure you will be surprised by the talent of choosing the words that make up the lyrics. The rest, the new musical works, and the attempt at journalism on MTV I won't even comment.
Great to the first Fabri Fibra. Small to the second.

Listening to it for the first time on the fly messes with your brain, enters your lobes, tangles your head, penetrates the sensations and beats of your body itself.
By the second time, you begin to immerse yourself in this underground, dark sound... it’s like having darkness around, darkness that cuddles you like a cradle.

This album is a masterpiece.
Fabri Fibra is the best Italian rapper, with smooth tongue and perfect rhymes.

Fabri Fibra's metrics were a roller coaster of assonances, palindromes, and vocal acrobatics, making him one of the best rappers on the Italian level.
We are faced with one of the best Italian hip-hop albums ever, and no one can call themselves a true fan if they have never listened to this album.
