So... so... so... Ingredients for a good recipe that satisfies many tastes...

1. 100 gr of sludge
2. 1 kg of furious black-metal and apocalyptic doom
3. 200 gr of stoner (but make sure you can feel the desert well)
4. a pinch of Neurosis
5. 100 gr of Sunn0)))
6. a sprinkle of melody (just to soften the excessive acidity accumulated so far)
7. and finally the master touch: a dusting here and there of psychedelia... YEAHHHHHHHHH... OK!!

Now put everything to cook at about 800 degrees and you will get a delicious and intoxicating dish; even the hairs on your ass will stand up with how acidic it is... (the melody didn't help worth a damn).

Well... what to say... the name of the dish??? Do you want to know?? Ok... I'll tell you... but why the hell should I tell you if it's already written above?? Anyway, for the nearsighted (like yours truly): it's called "The Trident" and the chefs (apologies if it's spelled wrong... I'm a bit challenged... ah ah ah... it even rhymes... ah ah ah, n.d.r.) are the great Unearthly Trance.

They are already on their third recipe and once again, I would say brilliantly, they pass the chef's test (ih ih ih). In the first two delights, there was a massive dose of doom-drone, which here is slightly smoothed to make room for stronger ingredients, with a nastier and more suffocating taste! But anyway, enough of this recipe talk that's making me hungry (and it's 2 at night!!)... Unearthly Trance are one of the most original and asphyxiating bands of the sludge scene, along with the great Sunn0))), Khanate, and so on, while at the same time distancing themselves from the names mentioned earlier; they, the ones reviewed previously, seek new forms of contamination in which to soak their own discomfort; always starting from that sludge of which, whether they like it or not, they are a part, they proceed to encounter the most uncompromising black metal (especially in the vocals), punk hardcore, stoner, southern, and the desert psychedelia of folks like the latest Earth, Electric Wizard etc. Then they take it all and mix it with a bit of apocalyptic and tribal post-noise-core from people like Neurosis (are these recipe thoughts still in my head? NOOOOOOOOOO...).

I don't dare talk about some tracks in particular... it's a journey to be savored from start to finish, for all its 45 minutes of duration. The U.T. are growing album after album, smoothing out everything that didn't work in previous albums, creating something truly original and incredibly (if I'm telling you, believe it) terrifying! "Nero" was their first album and total darkness prevailed; red the second, and blood flowed; blue the third, and the blind fury of an assassin oozes from every pore...

Great, just that... But now enough... I'm going to eat... ih ih ih...
