Released in 2003 by Remedy Records, Crest Of The Martyrs marks the creative peak of the American band Twisted Tower Dire, who are now without their singer and founder Tony Taylor (who passed away in 2010).

Tradition has always been a distinctive feature of the Virginia-based combo, active since 1995. The entire discography of TTD is influenced by American Heavy Power (Metal Church and Riot above all) and by the British (Judas Priest).

Crest... consists of ten tracks of pure and untainted Heavy Metal. Beautiful “At Night” crowned by an anthemic chorus; “Some Other Time, Some Other Place” epic like never before, and then the wild Headbanging of “To Be A Champion” and “Infinitum”, the latter a real scream-fest for Taylor launching terrifying screams.

The riffs are masterful and the rhythms are beastly! The album concludes with “The Reflecting Pool,” a track introduced by an arpeggio and ending in a triumph of riffs and metallic outbursts!

Champions and defenders of True Heavy Metal, the Americans remind us once again that the eighties never ended, but live on in the hearts of those who remember and appreciate them even without having lived through them! Horns up!
