A positive, detailed appreciation of three orchestral works on the CD: Gondwana, Désintégrations and Time and Again. The review highlights subtle textural variation, the dialogue between orchestral and electronic sound, and Murail's place in a French modern lineage. Recommended for listeners interested in spectral techniques and refined orchestral timbres.

For:Fans of contemporary classical music, spectralism, orchestral and electroacoustic works.

In the three orchestral pieces featured on this CD, we find music that is stylistically coherent yet always differentiated through subtle variations in texture.
