Tony Scott (1944–2012) was a British film director known for energetic, glossy action and thriller films such as Top Gun, The Hunger, True Romance and Revenge. He was the younger brother of Ridley Scott.

Born Anthony David "Tony" Scott (21 June 1944 — 19 August 2012). Brother of Ridley Scott. Directed films including The Hunger (1983), Top Gun (1986), True Romance (1993, director of the film based on Quentin Tarantino's screenplay), Revenge (1990), Man on Fire (2004), Enemy of the State (1998) and Spy Game (2001).

DeBaser reviews present Tony Scott as a dynamic director of glossy, pulp-infused films. Critics praise his kinetic visual style, strong casts, and collaborations (notably a Tarantino script for True Romance). The Hunger is noted for its 80s music-video aesthetic; Revenge and True Romance receive particular attention.
