THE REVIEW

The Tic Tac Bianconiglio (a name clearly inspired by L. Carroll's work, "Alice in Wonderland") originate from Milan in 2011 and consist of 2 members: bassist and singer Cristina Tirella and guitarist Armando Greco. The musical proposal of the duo draws heavily from the '80s Alternative Rock, The Cure and Joy Division, but also from our own Diaframma.

The result can be heard in this year's released EP, "Sasso Di Fiori," composed of four tracks all sung in Italian, highlighting the artistic personality of the group. We are met with a compact sound well-rhythmed by the drums and guitar refrains.

"Anima Fuggente" and "Il cancello del Trapasso" bring us back, albeit vaguely, to the local Prog scene of the '70s. Cristina's vocal performance is intense and emphatic. "Oblio Interiore" is beautiful, a powerful and engaging track. It closes beautifully with the dark title track, obviously influenced by The Cure.

The Tic Tac Bianconiglio are very unique and truly talented, ones to watch out for. I recommend the EP to everyone, lovers of Rock or simple consumers of good music!
