Simply one of the most historic live performances in history. A classic of The Who's discography and a splendid testimony of their energetic and fierce concerts, which went down in history for the devastating pyrotechnics practiced by Townshend and company.
Originally, the record contained only six tracks, which over time have grown to form a double album. The first record collects many of the tracks from the early period (1965-68), among which "Magic Bus," "Heaven And Hell," and above all, the stunning medley of "My Generation" stand out, imbued with a devastating and unique power, reaching twelve minutes in length. Simply historic.
The second record is instead the (almost complete) live execution of Tommy. Those who criticized this last album for the excessive relaxation of the songs, almost never stirred by electric parentheses, will be wide-eyed upon listening to this second record of Live At Leeds. All the songs present here are undoubtedly better than those in the studio, characterized by an overwhelming energy. Among these, I mention "Overture," "Sparks," and especially "See Me Feel Me," which unlike the studio version presents a splendid progression, making it faster than the one on "Tommy."
In short, to keep it brief: Live At Leeds is the highest point reached by The Who.
Sure, after this album would come the splendid Who's Next and Quadrophenia, but Live At Leeds undoubtedly remains the best album by the four. Try it to believe it.

Less than forty minutes, but an actual punch in the stomach, a pure distillation of that thing that someone called Rock and which instead I like to call Rock.
This performance of My Generation extended to a quarter of an hour is a true infernal cauldron where various quotes find space... Shocking, epic, majestic.
