If you decide to call yourself The Warriors, you must know that you certainly can't present yourself with a watered-down sound, regardless of the genre you belong to. This is even more true if you choose a title like "Genuine Sense Of Outrage" and if, as in the case of The Warriors, you have roots that run hundreds of meters deep in hardcore and you don't hide an obvious admiration for Motörhead, to the point of asking Lemmy Kilmister to lend his unmistakable vocal cords for an (admittedly insignificant) appearance in "Price Of Punishment", while elsewhere we find Lou Koller of Sick Of It All and Andrew Neufeld of Comeback Kid.
Thirteen shots, mixing HC, punk, hard rock, and metal, never giving the impression of simply wanting to proceed with the algebraic sum of the parts, but succeeding in the attempt to conceive a cohesive and coherent sonic design. For those who don't have the opportunity to read the press notes accompanying the album's release (the third for The Warriors, after two released via Eulogy Records), the matter could end here, after reiterating that this is a good work, not exceptional, but solid, "in your face," angry, aggressive, passionate, and punishing. For others, it's worth asking how it came to someone's mind to talk about Rage Against The Machine and, especially, hip hop (perhaps just because they toured with DMX?) in reference to the sound of the Californian band; nothing of this kind exists in "Genuine Sense Of Outrage", to be clear.
