The Strange Flowers

The Strange Flowers are a Pisa-based Italian psychedelic group formed in the late 1980s during the garage-psych revival. Their sound blends 60s-inspired psycho-pop with garage and space-rock touches. Key releases cited include Music For Astronauts (1993, with liner notes by Rudi Protrudi of the Fuzztones) and Ortoflorovivaistica (2006), alongside Pearls At Swine, Songs For Imaginary Movies, the career-spanning Best Things Are Yet to Come, and their ninth album Crossing A Wasteland (2022). The band has issued records through labels such as Unique Records and Area Pirata, and guitarist/singer Michele Marinò is noted as the long-time constant member.
