The Real People

Liverpool rock band formed in 1987. Line-up in the reviewed period: Tony Griffiths (bass, vocals), Chris Griffiths (guitar, vocals), Martin Loppin (guitar), Tony McGuigan (drums). Their 1991 self-titled debut was produced by Stephen Street and is regarded as an underappreciated bridge between 60s Merseyside guitar pop and later Britpop.
