The Queers are an American punk rock band formed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1982, led by Joe Queer. They are known for melodic pop-punk songs, irreverent and provocative lyrics, and many lineup changes.

Formed in Portsmouth in 1982. Early material was raw 70s-influenced punk; later records for Lookout Records emphasized melody and pop-punk. Love Songs for the Retarded (1993) was recorded under the auspices of Ben Weasel and Mass Giorgini for Lookout Records. The band has undergone numerous lineup changes.
