I don't think there are any negative reviews of this album. At least, I'm not aware of any. This is the first one. In the end, I'm not even reviewing this first album in particular but their entire sound in general.
The Polyphonic Spree represents one of the most irritating, overhyped, and inconclusive phenomena that have appeared in recent years on the music scene. More than musicians, they are the closest approximation in the rock world to your neighborhood cult, be it Jehovah's Witnesses, Dianetics, or something else.

There are many of them, they wear white, they are choral, they extol the beauty of creation with such exaggerated and exasperating joy that it makes an old cynic like me turn green with rage. The melodic structures are thin and have such a high level of glucose that it could kill a diabetic, or at least stun a healthy person. These songs are unhealthy, they are harmful to your health and are absolutely not recommended, strongly not recommended for anyone.

Stay away.
