The Holy Modal Rounders

Indian War Whoop fuggitivo

If you thought there was nothing more insane than the Residents, well, in fact, there isn’t, but this album is a good competitor.

Peter Stampfel and Steve Weber, two rascals from North Louisiana in May 1967 decided to make some crazy stuff and what comes out is this 'Indian War Whoop' from 1967 because when there’s madness, there’s everything.

Dive into the wild world of Indian War Whoop and experience a psychedelic folk masterpiece unlike any other!

The Holy Modal Rounders

The Holy Modal Rounders are an American folk/psychedelic-folk group formed by Peter Stampfel and Steve Weber in the early 1960s. Known for irreverent, deconstructed takes on traditional songs and surreal originals, they helped shape acid/freak folk. Their track Bird Song appears in the Easy Rider soundtrack.
