The Gaslight Anthem is an American rock band from New Jersey formed in 2006. Core members include Brian Fallon (vocals/guitar), Alex Rosamilia (guitar), Alex Levine (bass) and Benny Horowitz (drums). They blend punk-influenced rock with heartland/road songwriting and frequently cite Springsteen, Petty and Dylan as influences.

Early albums (Sink Or Swim, The '59 Sound, American Slang) were produced by Ted Hutt; Handwritten was produced by Brendan O'Brien. Brian Fallon also recorded the Horrible Crowes album Elsie. Bruce Springsteen praised the band and invited them to play with him.

DeBaser reviews trace The Gaslight Anthem's mix of punk'n'roll and heartland rock, repeatedly noting Springsteen, Petty and Dylan as lyrical touchstones. Key albums discussed: Sink Or Swim, The '59 Sound, American Slang and Handwritten. Reviews praise sincerity and live energy while sometimes faulting uneven lyrics or production choices.
