THE REVIEW

Nostalgia for the early Calexico version sun at its peak, Caracas-dive & tequila by the gallon?

Here’s a valid alternative!

After producing over the past years, with the suffix The Bronx, a handful of works teetering between punk and hardcore, they add the ' El Mariachi ' label to their moniker, completely transforming their stylistic module, completely reinventing themselves among boisterous tex-mex guitars, brass and violins à satiété and with the addition of many beautiful riveting Mexico-style melodies.

It might seem like a makeshift operation lacking real substance; fortunately, this is not the case: the album flows smoothly, entertaining and persuasive in its dog-day gentility.

Struck by lightning on the road to Tijuana.
