Tanya Donelly is an American singer-songwriter known for her work with Throwing Muses, a brief stint with The Breeders, founding the band Belly, and a subsequent solo career with albums including Lovesongs for Underdogs, Beauty Sleep, Whiskey Tango Ghosts and This Hungry Life.

Born July 14, 1966. Member of Throwing Muses; briefly played with The Breeders; founded Belly; released solo albums including Lovesongs for Underdogs (1997), Beauty Sleep (2002), Whiskey Tango Ghosts (2004) and This Hungry Life (2014).

DeBaser hosts a small set of reviews that view Donelly's solo work through the shadow of her bands (Throwing Muses, The Breeders, Belly). Beauty Sleep is seen by one reviewer as a move toward darker, more convoluted songs and less immediate pop than Lovesongs for Underdogs. This Hungry Life is praised for strong singing and songwriting but noted as "little known."
