Who said that Italy can't have indie rock bands with nothing to envy compared to more famous foreign names? After an EP "The double party of the widow", winning a music contest, and significant live activity (alongside bands of the caliber of One Dimensional Man… ), SEBP thus arrives at their first studio album, 29 minutes of excellent music, 10 angry, emotional, and immediate songs that will not leave you indifferent.

SEBP produce this first album under the careful ear of Giulio "Ragno" Favero (now ex-ODM, here dressed as a producer) and GianLuca Turrini, not forgetting the work of Madaski (Africa Unite) in mastering, undoubtedly earning the best debut of 2004. It begins with the devastating "Double Party" which is already announced as a live classic, "I can't sleep and I hate you" will overwhelm you with its rage and power, while in the beautiful "My Emotional Friend" you can notice some shy emo tinges, especially on an interpretative rather than sonic level, "Come with U.S." is ready to make you reflect on Uncle Sam's presumed goodness, while "Little Red Ghost" is a small original tribute to the best Steve Albini Shellac period, "Souvenire D'Italie" with its sparkling refrain, "Addiction" with its toxic Rock'n'Roll are enough to make this album a classic, but there are still "The Swindler" (which gives the album its title) simply wonderful, "Sister" with its unusual atmosphere (even a sax inside) which demonstrates along with the acoustic reprise of "My Emotional Friend" the capabilities of this young power trio from Mantua (Line up: Gionata Mirai-guitar/vocals, Alessio Capra-drums, Gianni Morandini-bass), highlighting possible and interesting future developments…

In fact, from the same "The Swindler" 4 tracks will then be reinterpreted to compose an unusual acoustic EP made available for some time on the official website of the band and while you're at it, check out the video of "My Emotional Friend" and "Double Party", numerous dates of the "Cannot Love Tour" which sees them as protagonists of important live appearances alongside Linea 77, Korn, Dinosaur Jr., Placebo (unfortunately canceled due to an injury to the Placebo drummer) not forgetting the Heineken Jammin' Festival and many other concerts scattered throughout the peninsula and Europe.

We feverishly await the second studio work, but in the meantime, I can't help but press play again… enjoy your listening!!! And don't say I didn't warn you…
