One thing I'm sure of: Mia Wallace, upon listening to the first CD by the Mantuan band Super Elastic Bubble Plastic, would say: "Fucking hell, what a hit, I said, fucking hell, what a hit!".
She would say it for the simple reason that The Swindler has a sound that pulverizes the frontal bone, parietal bone, temporal bone, and occipital bone all at once and that after only twenty-nine minutes you find yourself with a broken skull. Call it post-hardcore, call it noise-rock, call it math-rock. Call it whatever you like, but know that I simply call it rock'n'roll.
The S.E.B.P. are an explosive mix of Big Black, Jesus Lizard, Nomeansno, and... The Stooges jamming with Unwound directly in Dr. Humphry Osmond's office. There's no point in mentioning one song without calling another, take my word for it, The Swindler flows smoothly and without a drop in tempo with the same diabolical style of Steve Albini intent on changing your hairstyle and dousing you in "Kerosene".

SEBP thus arrives at their first studio album, 29 minutes of excellent music, 10 angry, emotional, and immediate songs that will not leave you indifferent.
Addiction with its toxic Rock’n’Roll are enough to make this album a classic.
