THE REVIEW

Not everyone knows that Italy is a country where the underground metal scene is thriving with more than valid groups, enough to make much more famous musicians pale in comparison. This is indeed the case with Sunpocrisy, a band from Brescia, that with this "Samaroid Dioramas" manages to create an outstanding work of depth and caliber beyond the ordinary. The music of Sunpocrisy is essentially atmospheric post-metal, with references to bands like Isis, The Ocean, and Cult of Luna. The album is excellently self-produced and encapsulates a philosophical concept full of substance, where melodies generated by the three guitars will touch even the coldest hearts. Tracks like "Apophenia," "Phi," and "Samaroid" cannot go unnoticed even by an inexperienced listener.

A band with marked compositional ability that encapsulates a great emotional and atmospheric charge. Letting them pass by would be a shame.
