The Profile

Suicide Silence are an American deathcore band from Riverside, California, formed in 2002. Early releases like The Cleansing (2007) and No Time to Bleed (2009) were pivotal in popularizing deathcore. After vocalist Mitch Lucker’s death in 2012, Eddie Hermida joined in 2013. Albums include The Black Crown (2011), Suicide Silence (2017), Become the Hunter (2020), and Remember... You Must Die (2023).

Associated with Century Media in their early years; cited among key deathcore acts. Toured with Megadeth, Devildriver, and Behemoth. No Time to Bleed was produced by Machine (also produced Lamb of God’s Wrath).

Four DeBaser reviews chart Suicide Silence from early EP ferocity to deathcore mainstream flashpoints. Praise centers on production heft, vocal extremity, and tighter songwriting. Critiques hit repetition and breakdown-heavy formulas. The Mitch Lucker era looms large; Eddie Hermida’s arrival is received as a strong continuation. Overall mood: divided but engaged.
