We are probably facing the most beautiful album by the Turin band; this is the second effort from the group led by singer Samuel, and it is the best confirmation one could expect from Subsonica, after the first self-titled debut album that introduced them to us.
The album is entirely successful, it manages to fully immerse us in the style of this band; it starts with a very short introduction and immediately moves to "Sonde," an excellent song. The following song is one of the masterpieces of this album: "colpo di pistola"; the chorus is biting and it's impossible to stay still: "Ti farò male più di un colpo di pistola / è appena quello che ti meriti / ci provo gusto me ne accorgo ed allora / non mi vergogno dei miei limiti / come ti gira dopo un colpo di pistola / ti vedo un po' a corto di numeri / ci provo gusto me ne accorgo ed allora / non mi seccare coi tuoi alibi"
Aurora Sogna is a song that fully represents the "subsonic" style, the lyrics talk about the dreams of a modern teenager: who dreams of a new image and doesn't believe in love. Moving on, we arrive at "Tutti i miei sbagli," presented as a Sanremo hit but very beautiful: in this case too, the chorus is compelling and staying still is almost impossible.
Worth mentioning is also "Liberi Tutti," made in collaboration with Daniele Silvestri and truly liberating (excuse the pun) as a song.
Morgan from Bluvertigo also collaborated on the CD in "Discolabirinto," and DJ Coccoluto in "Il mio dj," a song with dance elements.
In conclusion, with this CD Subsonica affirm themselves as among the best (if not the best) Italian bands: indeed, because songs like "Liberi Tutti," "Colpo di pistola," or "Tutti i miei sbagli" are not written by anyone else in Italy; and their live performance capability gives them the top spot as the best Italian band.
I don’t give the CD the maximum rating because I would give 5/5 only to unforgettable CDs, and I don’t know if in time I will still feel the same sensations listening to this CD.
