THE REVIEW

In the beautiful little Italy that all the (tele)journalists paint as an extremely advanced country, concerts are held in sports arenas.

I hate sports arenas!

Even Subsonica had to apologize to the audience for the really awful acoustics, and they did it twice. It was like when you're having fun with the Soundblaster card and you set the "underwater" effect.

Another really off-key note (but this is my personal problem) was the average age of the audience, which made me feel like I was from the late Cretaceous period.

As I've reiterated many times before, Subsonica ARE THE BEST ITALIAN BAND AROUND!!

Their concert is a well-planned journey through their three albums ("Subsonica", "Microchip Emozionale", and "Amorematico") and some unreleased tracks that appeared in the recently released "live collection". The selection of songs is excellent and really satisfies all tastes.

The pairing of songs like "Albascura" and "Colpo di pistola" is beautiful, two very similar and almost complementary songs, with explosive choruses. The same goes for the pairing "Discolabirinto" and "Nuova ossessione", with that '80s dance flavor, well represented on stage by Krisma, hosted for the occasion.

The stage perfectly matches the spirit of the group: large industrial pipes hang from above the wings, and three large screens project images synchronized with the sound. Everything is enjoyed with songs like "Perfezione," where you see the famous "sequential chains of nucleic acids" (DNA) swirling in the infinitesimal space of our organism, or in "Strade," where blurred shots of roads and tunnels seem like a memory of the journeys each of us has taken.

Of course, there were also hit singles like "Tutti i miei sbagli" and "Liberi tutti".

Truly captivating, without realizing it, you find yourself dancing...

Superlative!
