'Cielo Tangenziale Ovest'. A title in true Subsonica style for a truly memorable live performance held at the Filaforum of Assago in 2003. DVD with which the Turin band, my fellow citizens whom I adore, decides to celebrate themselves a bit and to show that despite the slightly melancholic tendencies of their song lyrics, they too can be a bit goofy and know how to have fun. This is somewhat evident from the extra videos where the band presents itself and shows who they are.
Unmissable is each band member's rundown of their musical equipment, particularly Boosta's "refrigerator" (who lived on my same street!) where he shows the various electronic gadgets he uses to alter the sound of his instrument... and he also confesses that the difficulty for a keyboardist, in his case, is not playing the keys on the keyboard but managing to quickly press the effect buttons to change the type of sound!
As for the tracks, they are: 01 livido amniotico - 02 il cielo su Torino - 03 l'errore - 04 nuvole rapide - 05 discolabirinto - 06 giungla nord - 07 gente tranquilla - 08 perfezione - 09 liberi tutti - 10 preso blu - 11 strade - 12 tutti i miei sbagli
Definitely beautiful "il cielo su Torino", and the audience seems to recognize it immediately judging by their reaction, "nuvole rapide" is also noticeable and turns out to be definitely captivating, as expected, "discolabirinto" with its electronic riff. Following is "giungla nord", decidedly psychedelic, "liberi tutti", and finally "Tutti i miei sbagli", the song that seems to be about drug use and closes the concert.
An interesting feature is an extra content called "subcamera con vista" that allows you to change the camera angle as desired during the song "giungla nord".
That said, this is a DVD that I recommend to all Subsonica fans, especially for the extra content, where even those who play music themselves might find some ideas on how to have fun manipulating sounds through pedals and various effects.
P.S. I apologize in advance if the review does not satisfy you, but it's the first one I've ever written; I've tried to be as correct and concrete as possible.
