I have already written it and I reiterate it, I have an overwhelming love for the Subs, I grew up with them musically, I have cultivated friendships also thanks to their Live performances, I have known and listened to them a lot. This album, in particular, ties me to many memories, there are "historic" tracks like "Nuova Ossessione" and "Sole Spento" that remain milestones of sonic concerts and continue to make different generations sing and jump. "A somewhat livid Polaroid of these last years, of what happened in 2001": this is how the Subsonica describe this work of theirs that arrived right after "Microchip Emozionale" and the Sanremo showcase. When I listened to it at its release, I found this vinyl to be an evolution and a continuation of the previous albums, a prolongation of a beautiful discourse started years before, the right reward for a healthy and intelligent group, capable of always questioning themselves. I have already expressed my opinion on the matter, but I am happy to reiterate how much this Turin band manages to diagonally unite many genres and many different minds, bringing them under the stage to sweat all together and to spread the lyrics in unison without any differences and distinctions... moreover in this album, more targeted lyrics and more refined sounds have been included, even if not everyone has noticed them.
They said, and I fully agree: "“Amorematico” is a decidedly darker record, whose main flaw is to follow a cumbersome predecessor–for the quality and the success- like “Microchip emozionale”. "Amorematico", perhaps, at times sounds "already heard"; but this, in some ways, is part of the game of working on music using past suggestions in a future key. And this is the Subsonica formula, take it or leave it." Heroic Friends... listen to it on headphones at high volume, try to perceive the nuances and colors that this sound will give you... You can... JUMP!!
Listening to the tracks of this album takes you back to the previous Microchip Emozionale, which was definitely more successful.
From garbage, you often manage to obtain something with a new form, a bit like with plastic, compost, biogas...
This album had the merit (or the fault?) of making electro rock respectable in our country giving it a certain artistic and commercial dignity.
Thanks to this mix, the album succeeds both on television networks and among high school kids.
