THE REVIEW

Francoise Cactus and Bresel Gorin. Ken and Barbie equipped with genitals, made of amphetamines. Tightrope walkers between genius and madness, which are made of the same stuff. Ken shamelessly uses every electronic contraption, Barbie sings themes ranging from absolute stupidity to the morbid, in German, English, French, Italian, Japanese.

Geniuses of global pop. Multicolored magic balls bouncing senselessly. They mix Euro Festival electropop, French song, and Ramones without any shame, bubble punk, Nippo pop, retro-futurism from junk dealers, unhealthy disco music, electro kitsch, elementary school punks at the recess bell. Sex Pistols T-shirts with Milù T-shirts. Lounge and spaghetti alla puttanesca, a glass of wine with Serge Gainsbourg caressing Brigitte Bardot's thighs. Ye-ye girls mischievously showing a piece of white panties dancing with a sexually half-melted strawberry ice cream cone in front of one of those machines that played records in exchange for a coin given by the drooling gentleman of the moment.

They jump from one dish to another, without a menu, without wiping their mouths, they do it with such naturalness that no one is disgusted; on the contrary, everyone stands up and applauds, and blatantly asks for an encore.

A breathtaking musical carousel from which it's hard to get off without skinning your knees. Lightness made into art. A Fellini DJ.

A small cult.

I offered you "OH AH" released by the German Bungalow in '98, a collection of singles from '95, in my opinion the best product. But if you also find "Stereo Total" or "Monochine" or "My Melody." Be sure you won't miss a shot.

Capture them and for heaven's sake, on their music, let Ken and Barbie finally mate.
