The Subliminal Verses

This album is described by many as the downfall of Slipknot, but in my opinion, that's completely wrong.

OK, fine, this album cannot be compared to the legendary "Slipknot" or the incredibly powerful "Iowa," but it has its own reason. The first time I listened to it, I said: "what is this crap?" because I was completely hooked with "Iowa"... then, however, after listening to it again, I discovered that it is truly wonderful.

For fans of the genre, I recommend it, and come on, they’re still the 'knot. :-)

I don't have much to say about this album, but I will try to make a small review anyway... For the first time, the 9 legends have foregone an intro; in fact, the album starts immediately with "Prelude 3.0," a slow song, lovely to listen to, especially the chorus because, in my opinion, Corey's low voice is really beautiful and relaxing. Right after this song, it starts with the powerful "The Blister Exists," truly amazing and hypnotic, featuring fearsome drum patterns accompanied, at one point, by snare drums played by the two percussionists. The third track offered is "Three Nil," which is one of my favorites for rhythm and progression, on which there isn't much to say. Then follow "Duality," "Opium Of The People," which are very beautiful, especially the first one, leading to "Circle." I think this is the first song on the album where you notice that Slipknot has left behind pure chaos while still producing beautiful, melodic, and wonderful songs...
The album continues with "Welcome" and "Vermilion pt. 1." The second is appreciated after a few listens as it has a strange yet engaging rhythm, really well thought out... Immediately after is "Pulse Of The Maggots," which is dedicated to all the maggots (Slipknot fans), thanking them for their support. The tenth song is "Before I Forget," which I think is the most beautiful song on the whole album and just a few days ago also won the latest Grammy Awards; this shows how beautiful and captivating it is. The next song is "Vermilion pt. 2," criticized by many idiots; it is the slowest and most melodic song on the album and talks about a girl Corey never had. The album continues with the very earthy "The Nameless"; in this last one, the 9 put each their own most rustic part to create rusticity in song... : -)

The album concludes with "The Virus Of Life" and "Danger Keep Away." In conclusion, it's a powerful and melodic album. At the same time, it is still worthy of the name "Slipknot." Bye to all the maggots People=shit
