THE REVIEW

Is the world sick? For those who don't know, the answer is yes.

To banish the illness of the poor who are forced by the "standards" imposed by those who always make endless arguments about what is right and wrong to do, just say screw it all and breathe fresh air in the morning, better the marijuana you grow in the closet.

Hell is far away but I've never felt it so close to me, you can easily distinguish it by looking at those who point at us, just gaze at them to be surrounded by nothing for a moment and anger prevails over the uncertainty of: do we really need to follow someone or something to be indie-pendent? It's time to say goodbye to you, yes you, Bill Gates, see how you're so well placed in this digital photo resolution 1024x860 that for all the software you charge for to run your programs, which aren't even free, can the "Jhihad" only ask for some of your money in advance, just before you die and donate it in India and Africa.

The "Flesh-Storm" attracts me with a scream on these things alive but dead at the same time, no one is safe anyone will make a mistake, but why doesn't anyone do something to survive from the rot that surrounds our common indifference? It's common for everyone to try to prevail over those who aren't in the circle you frequent, "Catalyst" knows it well, little epic monster of short measures, you could only be slightly longer since we are listening to you every day I would have also added a "You fucking die Bitch" for a few concrete laughs "You're a dead man" maybe it could even fit on the subliminal-guitarist solo. A river that breaks its banks, words dictated to the wind, super heavy for those who feel heavy things. "Black Serenade" I would never hear it, "Cult" is a classic, with those speeds no one tells you "your drums don't sound" or "you don't even have the right lyrics to keep straight", it's super heavy.

These friends of ours are a powerhouse yes guys truly strong, Slayer are strong and that's it. Now there will be a pause, long and meditative, made of reflections and theorizing. If we had to talk about Slayer, one does not scream so easily so loud. Now I have a lump in my throat will it pass looking at a shitty face and spitting on it? Screw the pretty faces, the ugly ones, those who talk nonsense if the fruit of so many words spoken in the wind must be "I mind my own business with my "Supremist".

It is more similar to 'Divine Intervention' than to 'Reign In Blood', one does not scream for free "now that you have exhausted your strength you can retreat". Think my friend think. The world is fucking sick, protect yourself!

Notable tracks like 'Flesh Storm' and 'Cult' emphasize the band's strength. Compared more to Divine Intervention than Reign In Blood, the album resonates with anger and heavy reflections.  The return of Dave Lombardo can only make long-time fans happy.

'Christ Illusion' is a good album, to be clear, nothing new, all already heard, but still gives us some new songs from one of the bands that has always kept the flag of Metal flying high.

Christ Illusion is a top-notch album, even better than God Hates Us All.

If Slayer is for you an anchor of salvation from the rot that surrounds us daily, you probably already bought it.

Slayer tries again after 5 years… to bring the Bay Area Thrash back to high levels.

The album is very appreciable musically, but perhaps a bit criticizable from a lyrical standpoint.

From the initial "Flesh Storm", we are certain it’s that infernal machine called Slayer.

Simply an album by Slayer! Aggressive and Angry!
