The Sinergy are a Finnish group led by Ms. Kimberly Gross. Among the members of the group, we also have the legendary Marco Hientala, bassist and second voice of Nightwish from Century Child onwards.
The group offers a mix between power and heavy metal.
The CD opens well with âVenomous Vixenâ and âThe Fourth World,â the first being heavy, the other more power. Then itâs the turn of âBorn Unto Fire And Passion,â a track dominated by violins but it feels out of place on a CD. âThe Warrior Princessâ is the best track of the lot. The title track moves more or less on the same levels while âRazor Blaze Salvationâ is a very predictable ballad; moreover, Grossâs voice seems anything but suitable for singing slow pieces.
âSwarmedâ is the most power-oriented piece where keyboard sections make the song decent. âPulsationâ and âVirtual Futureâ close the CD without leaving a trace.
The CD is not poorly produced, quite the contrary, but the tracks, after the second listen, reveal themselves to be boring except perhaps âThe Warrior Princessâ and âSwarmed.â Furthermore, the tracks evoke very little emotion. Maybe if listened to once a year (or thereabouts), the CD could turn out to be fun. Maybe.
