THE REVIEW

Satanicpornocultshop is not, contrary to the nomenclature appearances, yet another black-slam-porno-gore-grind abomination that the Good Brutal-Garçon De-Tepes could discern with absolute erudite scientificity, but rather a camouflaged and cerebrally melted group of musical-dadaists, plagiaristically situationists to the core, coming from the insane Land of the Rising Sun.

Only truly authentic mentally-blown individuals (since explosions - the Nipponese - are their thing) could think of offering their eager/foaming audience an EP-single with a mere 20 bonus tracks included, for a plentiful total hour of recrudescent and frenetic absurdities.

An entity active for about a decade, Ugh (electronics, tentacles), Meu-meu (jews-harp, puppets), Lisa (vocal, pink feather boa), Es (field recording, Indian pipe) and Vinylman (turntables, ambushes), in this (col)lapsed time frame, have managed to combine nearly all the united colors of maramaldons: mindful (unwittingly?) of the Burroughsian (il)literary lesson, they revitalize, expand, and literally implode, collapsing on themselves, the technique of the unstable and indiscriminate Cut-Up at 370° [in Japan, as is known, the protractor angles are quite eccentric].

From "Aiff Skull" to "Reality, Liftman Dub", respectively the opening and closing fragments, we are gleefully centrifuged and thus centripeted into a hallucinatory semi-indefinable pastiche/maelstrom in which, within this agitated and fragmented interior (with figures and lights), you can truly glimpse everything and more (as if we were with MammaRai at SanRemo): from the completely reckless banzai-rap of "Kakke No Tonkach" to the apparent calm (before the storm?) of the consequential "Ninth" and "Tenth Lament", to the pop-citation massacre extracted in the phenomenal "Chopstick Park" and the danceable "U Can’t Touch Dis" moving through the delirium-electro-mash of "Doggy Swamp".

In conclusion: serious candidates for the role of the most unbalanced (and diabolically) sympathetic group of the new millennium.
