Pure, old-school grindcore is what these four guys play. After the masterpiece "Carnivorous Erection" (a cover many may remember for its picturesque originality!), they are on their third album and show that they still have much to say, which is rare in these "niche" styles where many new bands release a masterpiece on debut but fail to find themselves again by the second album. One can say many things about this type of music, both for and against, but you still need "guts" and a lot of creativity. The skill is necessary, even though bands like this are constantly criticized on this point. If you don't know what you're dealing with, it might be wise to give it more than one listen to understand the true potential of REGURGITATE. Deviant consists of 27 songs starting with "Drowning in filth" and "Embrace obscenity and kiss the eruption of destruction" followed by one after another and the remaining songs without the slightest pause, pounding your eardrums with the shrill, continuously screamed vocals for almost the entire duration of the CD. Only towards the end are there slow and psychotic songs that manage to slow down the pace, which nevertheless remains incredibly fast-paced. Not recommended for those with heart problems! For extreme temptations played in good style, not considering this CD is discouraged!
