LA RECENSIONE

BUMBUMBUM! This is MDMA by Love 666... The drums, like slow buried drones, melt the brain; the groove pumps and builds, like a Blob dripping with assorted acidity: it ranges from a feedback bath to sound landfill exhalations, like not even the worst infusion from dark and mysterious Africa... Officiating the ritual, Dave Unger's voice soaked in volts, who sounds like an angel on amphetamines.

BUMBUMBUM! This is MDMA and it will be so for the whole record... National, Blue Scream, Hard Rock Amerika, U.S.A parade, but the result is always ruthlessly the same. As if you were playing the Velvet Underground's "White Light/White Heat", Hendrix's "Star Spangled Banner", and any house track in reverse and slowed down simultaneously. This is Love 666's anti-American revolution, a monolith, a long metal-macumba, with the guitar stubbornly playing three-chords-three of filthy hard-blues, like in a mad extreme and bizarre zen exercise, while Gary Mono's larsens and the keyboards are a dental office at work.

"...in a country where it's legal to own automatic assault weapons, politicians and CEO's look like pop-up-targets down on range..." states the unpatriotic Dave. These are his Love 666, pure creeping amphetamine, from Minneapolis. Beyond Blue Cheer, beyond Sun Ra, beyond the beyond...
