Raymond Queneau (1903–1976) was a French novelist and poet, co-founder of the Oulipo group, known for works such as Exercices de Style and Zazie dans le métro.

Co-founded Oulipo (Ouvroir de littérature potentielle).

Two DeBaser reviews praise Queneau's celebration of ordinary life and playful, surreal use of language. Zazie is read as a girl who prefers dreams to the dehumanizing city. The Sally Mara diary is presented as an intimate, ambiguous portrayal of innocence and experience.

For:Readers of French experimental literature, fans of Oulipo, and anyone who likes comic-surreal novels.

Raymond Queneau was a normal person.
