This debut album by the Emiliani group Rats, dated 1981, is vastly different from everything the group would produce later (a mundane, unconvincing Italian rock that would see collaboration with Ligabue).

Alongside the early works of Gaznevada, Skiantos, Confusional Quartet, "C'est disco" documents the creative Bolognese years of the early '80s, which would soon give way to the Florentine ones.

The album, more than for its quality, is noteworthy for the importance it assumed in the evolution of native rock: the lyrics, although impactful, are naive (after all, we are dealing with sixteen-year-olds).

Punk, New Wave, and Dark characterize the album, with one of the first female voices in Italian rock: Claudia Lloyd, on "vocals."

It remains one of the most beautiful milestones of Italian post-punk.

Absolutely worth retrieving, because it is really worth it.
