Rage Against the Machine

Musical Group

American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1991, composed of Zack de la Rocha (vocals), Tom Morello (guitar), Tim Commerford (bass) and Brad Wilk (drums). Known for blending rap and rock with militant, political lyrics and distinctive guitar effects.

Debut album released in 1992; signed to Epic/Sony for early releases; signature songs include "Killing In The Name", "Bulls On Parade" and "Guerrilla Radio". Members later formed Audioslave (Morello, Commerford, Wilk with Chris Cornell) after de la Rocha's departure.

DeBaser's reviewers praise Rage Against the Machine for their explosive live performances, Tom Morello's distinctive guitar work, and Zack de la Rocha's politically charged lyrics. The classic self-titled debut, Evil Empire and The Battle of Los Angeles feature heavily in the coverage. Several reviews celebrate the band's 2008 reunion shows in Modena as near-mythic events.
