LA RECENSIONE

I will be brief (as always you know by now).

I couldn't care less about all the disputes over the quotes made appropriately or inappropriately by Quentin Tarantino.

I liked Inglourious Basterds for the following reasons:

  • It has a good start that promises well...
  • It takes out a good number of Nazi krauts, Hitler & Goebbels included...
  • There's a nice unexpected piece sung by the Legendary David Bowie...

While I didn't like it for these reasons:

  • It doesn't fully deliver what it seems to promise at the beginning...
  • The dialogues in German drag on quite a bit and without subtitles they are an endless torture...
  • The story of the Inglourious Basterds lacks story, for this shortcoming the film, in my opinion, suffers quite a bit and by including it, it would have compensated for the many dead times of an otherwise enjoyable movie...

Well, I hope I've been brief enough by adding that Quentin Tarantino is a guarantee and I would watch anything he does without fear of getting bored.
