THE REVIEW

Housewives, homemakers, women of the house, take advantage of today's offer. Buy 2 and pay for 1. We offer you a drummer, singer, painter, plumber, Folletto lover, and Miracle Blade enthusiast in place of a slightly moldy singer and a drummer with a passion for changing diapers.
Yes, this is the current line-up of Queensryche.
The glories of Operation Mindcrime, with Geoff Tate at the peak of his physical form and Scott Rockenfield on drums, are now a distant past that can only be recounted by the great Piero Angela.
Today, Todd LaTorre takes the reins of Queensryche. A voice that does not stray from the band's classic timbre and a drummer with '80s Metal imprints.

The Verdict, released on March 1, 2019, is a great album.
Nothing new, simply Heavy Metal. I don't know what the Headbangers were expecting. In these 10 tracks, I find the essentials to enjoy classic metal forged with new instruments.
A nod to the opening track "Blood Of The Levant." A song that rocks and deals with themes of war in Arab countries. The end of the bridge leading into the chorus features a piercing vocal note. Then, in the guitar solo, there's a verse in Arabic (we are not the enemy, we want peace) that highlights compositionally creative sparks that are anything but trivial. A bit like our national Mahmood...(?!)
Dear housewives, listen to me, dive headfirst into the 45 minutes of pure energy.

The change of vocalist has incredibly changed things.

The Verdict is a cheeky album to the max, an album I could define as safe, comfortable, exploiting an obsolete and overused idea knowing that way they can’t go wrong.
