LA RECENSIONE

A review should primarily be objective and never hide "personal" aspects or "favoritism," but I have had the opportunity to listen to the band both on record and live, so—for me—I can somewhat forgive the audio quality of the album in question.

Yes, as interesting as the ideas proposed within the platter are, the mixing/mastering of this CD makes it difficult to absorb its content.

Now, let's get to the record; labeling it as thrash/death might be reductive as some episodes can be better associated with what is often defined today as nu-metal (consider the main riff of "Kosmonaut"), while others recall more black or brutal influences ("Wrath And Sorrow" and the title track "Reaching The End"), even venturing into hardcore hints ("Lying To Yourself").

Furthermore, there are brief electronic inserts of synths and some clean guitar ... in short, a cocktail that could have been truly spot-on if only the audio production had been more adequate; in any case, I recommend it to fans of the '80s metal sound revisited with new ideas.

I take this opportunity to add praise regarding the lyrics, which are truly interesting and reflective; moreover, I found the idea of writing "Kosmonaut" in honor of Gagarin very apt.
