PROWLERS - Freak Parade
(Self-produced)
In an era where everything flows quickly and music is consumed at the speed of light on Spotify and similar platforms, conceiving an album, a record that has its unity, that presents itself as a single, indissoluble monolith, might be anachronistic. Yes, but who is right? Those who churn out a single and then disappear with nothing else to say, or those who, like the Prowlers, think of a pinpoint album, where there is music but, as it was done once, there are references to cinema (that of David Lynch, and in particular The Elephant Man, evoked in the track “Joseph Merrick”), to comics (see the album cover and a whole series of graphics that transpose some tracks of the album into images) and much more. We have no doubts. Prowlers forever... And... coming to the music, for rock enthusiasts, there is everything and more. From rock to grunge, from metal to psychedelia. All with a clearly freak attitude, as a respectable “freak parade” should be.
