THE REVIEW

Brilliant…
...can this adjective suffice to describe “I bambini fanno Oh e… la storia continua,” the second album by the singer-songwriter Giuseppe Povia?

No!
And no, this adjective is not enough to describe this little masterpiece. Indeed, this work of Povia is ironic, poetic, reflective, and much more. The predominant theme is irony and the charm that reach their peak expression in decidedly hilarious songs!

The beginning of the album follows these predominant themes, including the extraordinary and hugely successful “I bambini fanno ‘ooh’".
“Chi ha peccato” is a song that, with irony, gives advice to all the moralists and those who make bitter judgments without reason (“Chi ha peccato si scagli addosso una pietra, chi non ha peccato se la scagli lo stesso”).
“Non è il momento”, again with the humor of which Povia is a master, talks about how “shy” a girl can be. “Fiori” follows the thread of the others, while when listening to “Mia sorella”, one notices Povia’s reflective side. The song addresses with simplicity the theme of anorexia. “Vorrei avere il becco” is another gem of irony and simplicity, just like “Ma tu sei scemo”, simply irresistible.

In short, a must-buy album from a singer-songwriter who will certainly continue to gift us pearls of simplicity, irony, and pure joy with some thought-provoking points and sometimes a touch of melancholy.
For those who live with joy and always have a smile on their lips!
