THE REVIEW

The last album to be recorded in an exotic location, this time Japan after the Antilles and Hawaii, this album represents Pooh's embrace of a typically mid-to-low-tier 1980s pop-rock. The lead single, "Se nasco un'altra volta," did not achieve the hoped-for success, an unmistakable sign of the group's decline, while "Se c'è un posto nel tuo cuore" did succeed. It was the first song in Pooh's history to be sung entirely by Stefano D'Orazio and was used as the theme for "Processo del Lunedì." Other tracks that have withstood the test of time include "Gli anni più importanti della nostra vita," "Ragazza occidentale," a song with echoes of Michael Jackson, and the title track, the only real reference to Asia, as the rest of the album is "all'italiana." As with previous albums, the vocal dominance of Roby Facchinetti is increasingly affirmed, although it will wane in the following decade.

Produced nonetheless on a downward trend, certainly without praise and with some infamy.

Summary by Bot

Pooh's album Asia non Asia reflects their mid-to-low-tier 1980s pop-rock era and marks a decline in their career. While some tracks like 'Se c'è un posto nel tuo cuore' and 'Ragazza occidentale' remain notable, overall it lacked success. Vocal dominance by Roby Facchinetti is evident, but the album is produced on a downward trend without praise.
