This is how the miracle of "Wish You Were Here" begins.

A guitar with a low, closed sound, almost reminiscent of an old cassette playing.
Then another acoustic guitar joins in, this time at a higher volume, simply fantastic, with a sweet, almost country sound.
Yet another acoustic, this one drier, accompanies Glimour's gritty but also soft and calm voice, just entered on the scene.

"So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell
Blue skies from pain
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?"

At minute "1:45," the drums make their appearance, completing the song along with the piano.

"How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over
