Pietra Montecorvino

Italian singer and actress from Naples. Born Barbara D'Alessandro, she emerged in 1983 via Renzo Arbore’s FF.SS., remembered for performing “Sud.” Active across cinema, theatre, and music, she’s known for a visceral, husky timbre and a Mediterranean blend of styles. Former partner of Eugenio Bennato and mother of two children. Albums include Napoli mediterranea and Pietra a metà (a tribute to Pino Daniele and Massimo Troisi).
