The Profile

Peter Punk is an Italian punk-rock band formed in 1994. After early lineup changes, the group settled with Nicolò Gasparini, Ettore Montagner, Stefano Fabretti, and Nicola Brugnaro. They recorded the demo Cornflakes in 1998 and, in July 2000, released their self-titled debut in a week. The follow-up Ruggine? arrived in 2002, and XI features fast, melodic punk with ironic lyrics and protest themes (including the anti-war “Undici” with Pul-Pul of Ska-P). The band is also referenced as Cattive Abitudini.

Active on the Italian punk-rock scene; style blends straightforward punk with ska elements and ironic themes. Participated in compilations such as Great Time for Agitato Records, Tre Venezie, Astropunkers 2000, and Kings of Punk. Noted tracks include the ska-tinged “Alien ska,” the cover “Daitarn III,” and the anti-war “Undici.”

Peter Punk, Italian punk-rock since 1994, deliver fast, melodic tracks with ironic lyrics and flashes of ska. Reviews cover the raw self-titled debut (2000), the more polished but repetitive Ruggine? (2002), and XI, noted for protest and anti-war themes (with Pul-Pul of Ska-P on “Undici”). Also referenced: the EP Sarò Pornostar and a name link to Cattive Abitudini. Overall reception is mixed but respectful of their energy.
