THE REVIEW

[..]I laugh and I know I don't want to wait/ a strange thing in my head that/ doesn't let me live because/ a push, an interest that I can't find anymore...that helps me a bit/ heh I'm still waiting for a new day to come /heh my life will start again/if you don't have thoughts that can disturb you/if there's nothing that can bring you back/you find everything new around you/and you find beauty in what isn't there[..]

Mêis novo, dìa novo, vigor novo com aitantes dedicas ao extremenho povo [it's Iberian borderland] is the perfect definition for this LP I listened to two hours ago and a beautiful manifesto of rocksteady with a punk twist, if we exclude the direct, convincing, and melodic title track. The very short and intense Beautiful, the Kingston-style 15, the aforementioned Nuovo giorno—very different and complementary to each other—morally enrich the album. The others musically appear crafted, though not perfect, and well structured both metrically and textually except for Tremarella, which focuses on [almost Moccian] accents and instincts. On the other hand, it is not difficult to determine what the other real gem of the lot is: it is the sardonic Come Vuoi, a beautiful mix of vaudeville and twist with charming retro choruses. Back from Puerto Hurraco. Ah, man, anyone could have been misled by the cover art!

Alternating half climbs with good works, the Canavezian P. Jones have given and will give new energy to the Italian crossover-ska non-militant scene:

yes, because by skatenandovi through Amici di Rolland, Matrioska, RFC, Le Braghe Corte [now inactive], $tiliti, Madbones [now inactive], Le Rivoltelle, Paproota and Flavio Oscar Cianciarulo [Argentine with dual citizenship], you regularly bow to the genuine Persiana, who make your legs "move" and "move up" your limbs.
