Paul has done it again.
I started following his solo career in '82, I was living in Buenos Aires, I was just a boy, and at the time, I used to buy his albums on audiocassette (ahhh the 80s, what nostalgia). As time passed, I noticed that (except for the legendary George Martin and Geoff Emerick), he usually calls some prestigious producer of the moment to give the albums a contemporary sound. Another thing that prevails in his records is the attention to a clear and clean sound, the musicality of the words, the abundance of ballads, and a couple of rock songs. This is why during the time of the Wings, Beatles fans and rockers criticized him for being too soft ("your music is muzak to my ears," Lennon said back then), but afterward, he proved capable of creating great experimental and electronic pop-rock songs in McCartney II, becoming "The 5th Kraftwerk" :). Bob Dylan was right when a few years ago he jokingly said: "McCartney can do everything well, I wish he’d get out of the music store."
He is my favorite Beatle, the one who has accompanied me since middle school days up to today, and I am still amazed by his undiminished talent, creativity, and freshness. As I was telling you before, in all these years following him, he has never made a pointless or disastrous album; in every album, there are at least 3 or 4 great, beautiful songs, and with McCartney III, he has done it again. For him, composing beautiful songs is as easy as breathing is for us.
The only reason not to forget 2020 is for this album "made in rockdown."
May the good Lord grant you a long life, hail, Master of Melody!

Guitar and voice, nothing more is needed when your name is Paul McCartney.
Frankly, we must be satisfied with how one of the most incredible careers in the history of music is closing.

McCartney III is born from the experimental sap of II and the imperfect warmth of McCartney.
Thank you, Paul, you’ve helped give meaning to this 2020.
