As far as we know, Steven Patrick Morrissey wrote the lyrics for the "Smiths", but "Moz" had a decent, though dispersive and inconsistent, solo career, while John Martin Maher has done little in this respect.
The music with the "Smiths" has all been attributed to Mr. Johnny Marr, and with just four studio albums, they could boast a series of singles with truly lethal melodies.
