Toni Esposito – Processione sul mare [1976] This 1976 work is Tony Esposito’s second album; like the first, it is characterized by lively jazz-rock tinged with strong Mediterranean moods. The rhythmic/percussive element is, of course, very prominent, but the eight tracks are shorter and more compact, without the long, almost hypnotic pauses that marked his 1974 debut, "Rosso napoletano." The music is always of superb quality, warm and enveloping, with a hint of funkiness as in "Festa sul monte," and small touches of local color—take, for example, the opening track "Mercato di stracci," where actress Lina Sastri lends her voice. As usual, Tony is joined by excellent musicians: Francesco Bruno on electric & acoustic guitar, Robert Fix on wind instruments, Stefano Sabatini on keyboards, and bassist Gigi De Rienzo. ovvero:
