As well as being passionate about little acoustic and rather gloomy guitars (cit. Flo), you should know (oh my God, not that you’re forced to!) that I also have a real passion for the “cheerful” cello. So here’s a little journey across countries, eras, and genres together with BirdsonaWire, a duo formed by Rosemary Standley and the cellist Dom La Nena. With originals (or other versions). Because sometimes, the beauty of cover albums also lies in the choice of songs. Although Rosemary is only half French and Dom is Brazilian, the duo is based in France. A chansonnier had to be included. I could have suggested a Brel, but I preferred the less-known and more eccentric Boby Lapointe. Famous for puns and double entendres, he was also an actor and passionate about mathematics. France, 1963 Boby Lapointe - La Peinture à l'huile La Peinture à l'huile
