Nostradamus (1971-1974) [Full Album]
Their music was influenced by groups like "Gentle Giant", The Flock, "Jimi Hendrix Experience", "King Crimson", and "The Free"; they were the typical psychedelic rock band, with sometimes very extended improvisations. Here you have recordings made in Vienna between '71 and '74.
The tracks "Silver woman", "Riders in the sky" and "Your love" are sung by Hansi Lang; the rest is mainly handled by Mario Bottazzi.
The band made a few radio appearances and played most of the time in progressive clubs in Vienna; they were affected by the conservative atmosphere that dominated Austria at the time, then they toured in the Netherlands, from where the band never returned.
In the Netherlands, Hansi Lang became the main singer of the band, which performed successfully in many clubs all over the country, more often than in Austria, and due to bureaucratic problems related to work permits, the band dissolved after about a year. In any case, they remain a great part of the Viennese music scene of the early '70s.
