Sex Pistols - No Fun (Live From Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, USA / 1978)
During their first and last tour in the States, John Lydon became increasingly isolated from the rest of the group because of the schemes of their manager (not to name names, the late Malcolm Robert Andrew McLaren, who once said on TV that "Jesus is a sausage," but that's another story...), who, according to the band members, was banking on Sid Vicious's self-destructive attitude for the band's success.
On January 14, 1978, it was him who put an end to the "Sex Pistols" adventure during their last concert in San Francisco (see video above).
During the concert, you can notice a certain lack of energy from Johnny Rotten, who finally, sitting on the edge of the stage, sings this song (a cover of the "Stooges"), literally entitled: "Not Fun or No Fun," and before leaving the stage shouts to the audience:
"A-ha-ha!
Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
Good night!" letteralmente: pubblico:
